• 1917 – प्रथम विश्व युद्ध: युद्ध के लंदन पर सबसे घातक जर्मन हवाई हमला गोथा जी.आईवी हमलावरों द्वारा किया जाता है और परिणामस्वरूप 462 बच्चों और 432 घायलों में 162 मौतें हुई थी.

• 1927 – एविएटर चार्ल्स लिंडबर्ग को न्यूयॉर्क शहर में 5 वें एवेन्यू के नीचे एक टिकट टेप परेड प्राप्त हुआ था.

• 1940- जालियाँवाला बाग़ हत्याकांड के समय पंजाब के गवर्नर रहे माइकल ओ डायर की हत्या कर उस हत्याकांड का बदला लेने वाले भारतीय ऊधम सिंह को लंदन में फाँसी दे दी गई थी.

• 1944 – द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध: जर्मनी ने इंग्लैंड पर वी 1 फ्लाइंग बम हमला शुरू किया जिसमें ॥ बमों में से केवल चार ही अपने लक्ष्य पर हमला कर सके थे.

• 1952 कैटालिना संबंध: एक स्वीडिश डगलस डीसी -3 को सोवियत मिग – 15 सेनानी द्वारा गोली मार दी गई थी.

• 1960 राजकुमार नरोत्तम सिंह आलोक कंबोडिया के राष्ट्रपति बने थे.

• 1966 – संयुक्त राज्य सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मिरांडा बनाम एरिजोना में नियम पास किया था कि पुलिस को उनसे पूछताछ से पहले अपने अधिकारों के संदिग्धों को सूचित करना होगा.
