In addition, the government is expected to get a total dividend of Rs 56,260 crore from CPSEs (central public sector enterprises), higher than the Rs 48,000 crore estimated in the interim budget.

The budget also estimated that dividends from RBI, banks and financial institutions will be Rs 2,32,874 crore in FY25, more than double the interim budget estimate of Rs 1.02 lakh crore.

This massive increase in the number is due to the unexpected dividend of Rs 2.11 lakh crore received from the RBI. According to the budget document, the government has estimated Rs 50,000 crore for capital receipts. This is equal to the amount provisioned in the interim budget.

The revised estimate for the previous fiscal has been pegged at Rs 30,000 crore.

Khelo India once again got the biggest share in the budget for sports.
